Laser Genesis is a softer, gentler, option with no pain or downtime but will require more treatments. Especially effective for inflammatory rosacea, acne and red acne scars. In addition, it will softly stimulate collagen and rejuvenate your skin.
This is the perfect monthly maintenance treatment that will leave your skin plumped and glowing with no downtime and no pain.
Depending on the modalities used on the skin, during treatment of capillaries, veins, brown spots, active acne and lesions using the Coolview handpiece, you might feel a sensation similar to a quick rubber band snap against the skin. A cooling tip will be in contact with the skin to provide extra comfort. Treatments are quick and usually last 5 – 10 minutes.
While Laser Genesis feels like a gentle warming of the skin, most people find this treatment relaxing and pain-free.
With Excel V+ Coolview, most skin concerns require only 1 – 3 treatment sessions to achieve results. However, the number of treatments vary based on your condition.
A series of 4 – 6 Laser Genesis treatments are recommended to achieve optimal outcome. Improvements are gradual and ongoing maintenance treatments are encouraged for best results. Packages available.
For more intense and full face treatments you may experience swelling which will resolve within a few days. Treated brown spots will darken following treatment and exfoliate within 3 – 7 days.
There is no downtime with Laser Genesis other than slight redness immediately after treatment which will resolve in a few hours.
Typically, you can wear make-up and return to normal activities after treatment.
If you experience swelling post treatment, avoid exercise for a few days until swelling has subsided. Prior to treatment, inform your treating practitioner if you are taking any anticoagulants or medications with blood-thinning effects (i.e. Aspirin).
We recommend you use daily broad spectrum sunscreen and avoid use of active ingredients such as AHAs, BHAs and Retinoids for 3 – 7 days post treatment.
