EMCYTE PUREPRP® (PLATELET RICH PLASMA)

While EmCyte PurePRP is considered safe for most people, it is not recommended for anyone who has Hepatitis C, HIV, AIDS, any type of blood cancer. If you have cardiovascular disease or another condition that requires you to take blood thinners, you may not be a candidate for PRP therapy.

The Emcyte treatment stimulates:

EmCyte PurePRP therapy on the face can be beneficial to people who have fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, acne, surgical or trauma scars. By placing PRP back into the skin, cell proliferation is encouraged. This leads to an increase in elastin and collagen production. As a result, the skin will look tighter, fuller, and smoother. 

EmCyte PurePRP can also treat and support the following conditions:

• Wound healing

1. Consultation: Make an appointment to discuss with our Nurses to assess your skin concerns and suitability for PRP therapy
2. Preparation: Skin cleansing and optional numbing cream application for comfort during treatment. Drawing up your blood sample and being processed with EmCyte systme to obtain PRP
3. PRP Application: Injected into the skin and or scalp to enhance absorption
4. Post-Treatment Care: Mild redness, swelling and bruising may occur temporarily, follow your specific aftercare instructions provided by your doctor/physician for optimal results 

For best results, we recommend you receive monthly treatments for 3 consecutive months, lasting between 9 – 18 months.
After your initial 3 treatments, we recommend receiving a further treatment twice a year for maintenance.

After the procedure, you may experience some soreness, slight swelling and bruising at the injection site. Because PRP injections are made up of your own cells and plasma, the risk of an allergic reaction is unlikely. Normally downtime is minimal.

2 days before the treatment you must:

• Avoid non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications
• Drink plenty of water and eat well
• Avoid foods with high fat content
• Avoid excessive alcohol
• Minimise caffeine intake
• Get a good night’s rest

After treatment, avoid the following:

• Alcohol, caffeine, niacin supplements, spicy foods and smoking. All of these may increase bruising and swelling
• Exercise or activities that can strain or infect the treated area for 24 hours
• Treatments on the face/head:

• • Stop all topical solutions for face and scalp for 12-24 hours

• • Refrain from washing your hair 4 hours after treatment

• • Sleep with head slightly elevated to reduce the possibility of any mild swelling

• Avoid applying ice or heat at the site for 3 days after your injection
• Do not apply lotions, oils, or makeup to the injection site for 6 hours
